Dudley, IMO checking fuel pressure on the fly would be imperative Maybe your mechanic buddy can rig up a pressure gage that can be monitored while driving the car. Just doing that will provide us with critical information.

BTW... I used pressure hose.. like compressor air line to extend the length of my fuel pressure tester. This allows me to see pressure while driving. I think total length is about 7 feet.

Had a car before that passed tests from the FSM, but was able to reach under 10psi when WOT getting on the highway.

I have a 99 does the same thing took it to GM fuel pressure is fine . Some times it does it from a dead stop going straight as well .

I have the same problem I looked at all the wiring checked fuel pressure Still cant find it. any luck yet
