Default '98 SLE loses power around corners.

Sorry if this has been posted before i couldnt find any threads related to this prob.

I would say that 90% of the time when i go around a corner and touch my gas pedal my car hesitates for a few seconds before accelerating.Im not going around the corner fast at all but some times its like im not touching the gas pedal at all.

Ive noticed that if i get off the gas completly for a second it is more responsive when i get back on it but if i keep the gas down it just bogs.

Any ideas?

Dudley, Welcome to BC. This sounds like a fuel related problem. This phenonema occurs only when going around a corner such as a 90 degree turn? Is it specific to left or right turns? How does it respond when taking a clover leaf on/off ramp? I'd start with the basics by checking fuel delivery at the fuel rail with a pressure gage looking for steady state fuel pressure. Some other 92-99 GH'* should chime in soon with more details and things to check.

any clicking or noises around the corners, maybe an axle is binding up a bit?

Can you check fuel pressure on the move?
