Here is a drawing showing the airmix door actuator location. I don't believe you can get to it though the glove box. You have to go from underneath or take the dashboard off.

This pic is looking through a hole, behind the glovebox that shows the rod in place in the white connector. The small plastic box is the airmix actuator, and the rod that comes off the box snaps into the small, white, round connector on the airmix door.
And if all else fails and you can't fix it at the moment, you can always rig it for the time being....Wren'* Redneck Fix

I don't quite understand that drawing. All of that stuff is behind the air bag brackets.
Everybody said that the air mix actuator was on top. There is no way I can reach that from the bottom. The vents sit almost against the dash all the way around.
Is the motor actually on the bottom??
His body control module is still acting up. Has anybody ever seen one go bad?
If he doesn't latch his seatbelt when he leaves the car, the interior lights will stay on indefinately. I think we found the module, but are not certain of the best way to remove it from it'* mounting plate. Any advice?
Does anybody have a replacement module for a reasonable price?

The air mix is actually on top and yes it is possible with a few scratches to get it from below. Glad you fixed it up with a nudge though.
BCM..yes..we have seen them go bad and do the types of things you are describing.
I don't have one right at the moment..but might by the end of the w/e.. I'll keep you updated. As for bracket attachment..I think it'* a plastic white bracket that clips on at the bottom..no?

We're just afraid to break the plastic plate it mounts on. Do we just pull it off? (the BCM)
For the air mix motor, we will try to reach it, I'm starting to get how that picture fits together now. Hopefully my big hands will fit up there.
Keep us posted on the BCM.

I haven't been near the car for a few days, but I think if I slide a flat-head screwdriver up behind it that the module will slide right off.
I wanted to dig into it over the weekend, but both my dad and I were busy. Hopefully next weekend we will figure it out.
