Ugh, I just bought this car. Was loving it up until 2 days ago. I went into the store and when i started the car it seemed really rough. Even idling. So I get it home. But I can't go over 50 on the highway or else it was shaking like all hell. The plugs were just done 3 months ago. Also when I had it in park and stepped on the gas. It almost sounded like it was missing. I'm just going to have the shop check it out unless it'* something i can handle. I found a small amount of oil in the coolant. Or what appears to be. And I had it flushed. So far it doesn't look like there'* any more in there. I checked the oil, looked normal in color. And there'* no white smoke so I don't think there'* any coolant seeping into the engine. The supercharger is leaking from the snout, and the intake seal. Doesn't look like GM supercharger oil to me.

Don't let that SC run dry. With proper maintenance, it'll outlast everything on the car. The Nosedrive can be rebuilt by you, especially if it'* just the snout seal.

Rough running is ignition 99% of the time. Check your plugs to see which ones are fouled, and use that to determine if it'* a common pair to a coil, or a single (probably plug wire).

Your miss, however, sounds severe enough to be 2 cylinders, which would lead me to believe coil.

how would i go about checking the coil?

well, i checked the coil. Spark from all plugs. Tomorrow ill have to pull each plug and look @ them. Little too dark now.

damn Haynes manual doesn't include information about the SC.

Unless I'm mistaken, the photos show what looks like it may be coolant. You could have a small coolant leak under the intake. I had a leak like that on my '93 and found that one of the intake bolts wasn't tight.

If the supercharger snout is leaking oil, it'll originate near the pulley and run down the snout towards the base of the supercharger. Using your finger (while the engine isn't running!), touch the underside of the snout just behind the pulley - if it'* leaking, your finger will have supercharger oil on it. The supercharger oil is clear but will probably have black engine dust in it. The oil seals on these superchargers seem to be prone to leaks. If you do decide to replace the seal, consider using a Viton seal rather than a nitrile rubber seal.
