Default 92 Valve estimate

I have one of those special '92'* that #6 cylinder'* valves are shot. I burned myself out on car repair when i owned a 73 beetle...anyone have a rough guesstimate on how much it would run to have it done? should i have all the valves done? anything else done while it'* apart...etc

Thanks

i will check alldata this afternoon, for intake removal, and head removal that should give you a rough estimate, in hours X shop rate in labor, and parts will ussually be the cost of the valves. the only thing i dont know about.............do automobile valves need to be lapped, to the valve seat? a engine guy could tell you volumes more on that subject.

oh yeah one more thing how many miles were or are on your "special bonneville" when this unfortuante burnt valve occured

Default miles

Not sure...I was in the shop 8 months ago and they said #6 was "weak". Had it in the day before and they said it was dead. I have noticed a significant drop in miliage in the past month. With all that said, the milage was around 270k at the time

Thanks for the help!

alldata says that for the removal and replacement and grinding of all valves, carbon cleaning, and adjustments is 9.7 hours............yikes........i would think thats the logical thing to do....if you are to pull a head off to get at the valve and vavle seat.......another option, you may want to talk to the shop where this is to be done, maybe they would be willing to do only one bank, theroreticly cutting the job in half..........saving you from chapter 11....................... intake ber valve is $28.83 and exhust is $34.57,
