Thanks Mike...I can tell you the other thing that'* odd (but good) is that the trans took a mile to adjust, I think the heat exchanger I deleted was clogged, the trans goes into overdrive split-second now where it used to have a delay to it. Getting there...just have to nail down idle issues now (always been slightly rough, going to replace ICM)

ign related troubles are normally rough running at locked forth when the engine would normally lug. like at 40-50mph. idle sometimes but not very noticeable. and it would be a tab or two getting corroded

Many keep the passage going through the radiator when they add a cooler, so that the transmission comes up to temp, especially in winter. If there is a way you could add a thermostat setup on that cooler, especially living in NY, it would probably be worth considering.

Also, usually the tranny cooler lines are 2 pieces, once side has the flared fitting on the tranny side, the other has it on the radiator side.

You may wish to consider blocking off part of the cooler in the winter time once it starts cooling off however. I really need to do this to mine too.

The cooler advertises that it allows bypass flow when it'* below a certain temp...I'll see how it performs when the Winter comes. Onto the O/D trouble, something is odd here. The car shifts into O/D way faster than it used to (split second now), I drove 30 minutes in near 90 degree weather and then sat an hour to drive 30 minutes again, no issue. It then sat another hour before i went off to work, where, of course I lost O/D. I'm thinking a sensor is sending false readings...I know the trans cannot be getting hot at this point. The ICM will get replaced tomorrow and I'll keep my eye on it.
