Default 1996 bonneville stalling

I need a lil help here.
1996 bonneville se 3.8 seriesII I just bought it.
car sat for a year
57,900 when I bought.
replaced plugs wires mass air flow sensor and pcv valve.
car drives fine. once I get about 20 miles rd time I shut off car and come back 10 min later upto 45 min later.. car starts-stalls, starts-stalls.
I can keep it going at about 2000rpms with one foot on gas and one on brake to drive.. I drive about 1-2 miles like this and then its fine, but up till that point if I take my foot off the gas it stalls out...
any sugestions??

The crank sensor is a good possibility. But I wanted to start with the easy stuff.

There is always the chance the car could shut down while driving.

The hardest thing is getting the balancer off. Once that'* done it'* a easy job.
