Default How to replace window clips

Hey guys I was driving my car this week when the window clips broke and the window rolled down. The motors are all still working but there are two plastic pieces that hold the glass on the inside and I was wondering how to change them my Chilton book does not show how. Any idea'* or photos would be great. Thanks

Have you popped the trim panel off to take a look? Are you sure the clips broke? The more common failure is for the cable to break out of the bracket that moves the window up and down.

By clips, do you mean the metal clips with nylon inserts that are pinched together by a 10MM bolt? There are two of those. If it the same clip I am thinking about, you raise or lower the mechanism using the power window switch until you see the bolts. Then remove the bolt, replace the clip, and re-install the bolt.

If you get the trim panel off, take some pictures of what you think is broken and post them up.

Default I need this info as well

I have an 87 Bonneville LE and my windows would not roll up or down. I checked and the motor is fine, so i bought new window clips. Apparently my original window clips had decayed to the point of dust, so there was nothing holding windows on frame. I have attached the clips to the window, but now I can't get the window to fit back in slot correctly..Any ideas? These are the front windows, btw. I changed the back window clips out easy as pie, and it solved the problem.
