I don't think that you can use anything like the monsoon equipment. I think you'd have to stay in 87-91 era for sure?

Naw, no Monsoon i don't think. It'* from a '00+ right? Yeah, that probably isn't going to work. You need something from a Delco [92-99]. There is just one wire you need to cut on the wiring harness to keep your steering wheel controls [which I doubt you have, since it'* an LE]. But yeah. Grab the Monsoon and eBay it, man.

What year car does the Monsoon stereo come out of? They made these through 2000 in certain cars... Grand ams still had them in 2000... Bonneville had gone to the newer system...

For the stereo, if its from a Bonneville 94-99 than it will work... But the connector on the older bonnies has a thicker clip... Won't fit into the newer stereo... You can either ground the plastic tabs down a bit or like I did, I took apart the chassis, and notched out a little so that the connector would plug in... Mounting it though might be a bit on the fun side tho..

The monsoon system iu believe came as a factory upgrade in the T/A'*, Firebirds, and Camaros?

But the question is is the Monsoon stereo the same as the 94-99 stereo? The monsoon system for the Firebird has a 200w amp doesn't it?
