'88 Bonneville A/C Comressor pulley size ?
I'm working on the A/C for an '88 Bonneville. I got a great deal on a re-maned. compressor and as I was putting it on I noticed that the diameter of the belt pulley was about a 1/4 inch smaller than the OEM unit. Is this a problem or will the belt tensioner allow for the slack with no problem?
Thanks

i have no experience in the subject but a quarter inch smaller diameter would mean 1/8th inch smaller radius and that'* what the belt rides on so if it'* just going to be 1/8th of an inch smaller than the original i'm almost certain the tensioner can handle this. I've got a remanufactured accumulator and a compressor (which i guess you dont need now) in case you want it. I'd practically give it away as long as you paid shipping and a reasonable price. I don't even remember what I paid for it. I don't check the boards too often any more (my 87 bonneville is all but buried :( ) but feel free to PM me anyways.
best of luck
