2001 Aztek speedometer jumping and going crazy- video posted
#1
Any help would be appreciated. Last night the speedometer started jumping from 10-50mph as I drove. Sort of dancing around the dial.
After a while the trans started to shift erratically (assuming because the computer thought I was going erratic speeds).
I took a video of what is going on….anyone know what the problem may be? Thanks guys!

First off, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to enlighten us at to the year of this Aztek (a sig is a wonderful thing). I also recommend having it plugged in to a computer and officially diagnosed. Either there is an issue with the gauge itself, or, more likely given the other vehicle issues, the vehicle speed sensor or associated wiring. You also may wish to check cruise control to see what it is doing when the symptoms are being displayed.
