Unhappy power window problem

I have a 2005 grand prix GT. The rear driver side window cable that controls the up and down movement of the window came off track somehow and is laying in the bottom of the door. this looks like a complicated fix, am I correct? I don't see how you can get in there.

Cable? Didn't know they had cables. The glass sits on a metal track that'* attached to a scissor type of elevator.

Similar to what'* in the image...

Mike for that year, I believe they use a motor driven, cable regulator...

Have seen where the plastic part that attaches to the cable and the window, breaks off the cable......

In some cases, you are able to get the plastic part....in others, you have to replace the whole regulator.......if the motor is ok, just the regulator.....fairly easy job....remove door trim, water barrier, then hold the glass up in place with tape and remove the motor/regulator(bolted in place).....transfer the motor to the new regulator...

This answer sounds more accurate because there is some sort of cable laying in the bottom of the door. I will have to get in there again and find out how to remove that part.

If the cable is lying there, you need a regulator...it'* just bolted in....
