Power Window Problem (Blazer)
Hey, quick question for you all...
My family owns a 1999 Chevy Blazer, which is currently experiencing a power window problem. The power window up until a couple months ago worked nicely as it should. Then it just stopped operating the drivers side window, the wierd thing being the other three windows from the same switch cluster, work fine, but the drivers switch just seems nonfunctional. Strangely enough, it seemed to have fixed itself a few days later until again today, same problem. So what do all of you think might be causing this problem? water in the switch components (weatherstripping around the window is kinda popping up too)? car computer messing up? If anyone could offer any answers/suggestions everyone over here would appreciate it, since it is finally warming up around here . Thanks- Jeanie

It does not work AT ALL.
It happened one other time a couple months ago, but fixed itself within a week or so.

Ok, well my Electrian buddy has an 00 blazer... Exactly the same problem... He hasnt spent much time with it, but its not the motor nor loose connections. So theres either a fuse for the express down... Or a control box(for the express down) melt down... Or faulty wiring, He is an electrian, but I dought he wants to do any wire pulling on his day off..

The wife'* Chevy Astro (96) actually had a recall for the drivers power window not working. You'd think they would have fixed the problem by now, but you can look into it.
Actually, the recall came out in 99 or 2000, so it may apply....
