What is everyone'* thoughts about painting a car? Should the car be stripped and sanded down to the primer then repainted, or is it safe to put another same color coat of paint on the car allready?

It depends on how bad the paint job is IMO. I got my hood repainted (more blended with the fenders than totally repainted) and there was no need to sand it down all the way to the primer. But if the paint/ metal isn't too bad, then sanding down the clearcoat is at least needed. Since I wouldn't just put a color coat on top of a clearcoat.
