i went there once to have my '88 tested and they did it the same way by grounding out the terminals

Hmmm, They won't do that here :? I have tried many times. They won't do anything unless it is OBD II. I have checked all three AutoZone stores around me :?

They do that here for OBD1. They'll even give you the little 'key' if you want it.

Call Auto Zone Corporate and report bad service. That is something they are supposed to do to sell more parts. (800) 288-6966 To talk to a human, press 1; at prompt press 2; at prompt press 0.
