Mos, it'* all about laminar airflow and velocity. This is more critical for the supercharged cars, but still important to the NA. The more turns the air has to make, the worse it is for the MAF sensor to get an accurate reading, and the lower the velocity of the incoming air. That stuff has to get in ALOT of air VERY quickly for performance and efficiency.

Your airbox is an improvement over stock. I did it myself. (pics on my website are of my stock/ported/gutted airbox). I can also tell you that the ADTR/cone filter/CAI combination is an even bigger performance step from where I was then from going stock to the gutted airbox. On a scale of 1-10, you're halfway to where you COULD be.

You did it for less than $50 though, so you have to ask yourself if the next step is worth $200 or not (intake/filter/CAI)

Bonne.....those are way cool.....BUT......the SSEi is hiding all my cool ****! Can you make it more opaque? :P

Will. I P-shopped it too but even when it is opaque it hides the engine details and that nice heat shield you made, so I gave up and figured someone else would try something

Well, actually, I have to ask the Missus if it'* worth $200... dammit. And so far, my intake has been free. I still ain't got pics of my modded box, but soon.

And I think you want it LESS opaque, more TRANSLUCENT (I do know some stuff!)

No, I mean fade the edges of the larger pic of the engine bay.....so it fades in gradually from the background of the browser.

I'm not keeping you up too late, am I?

Oh ****....I should have known there was a catch!

That one is way cool. Still wish the stuff showed through better, but that'* better than the plain engine bay pic. I'll get it switched over soon.
