when you get this done i would REALLY love to see a writeup. This is the same kinda thing I want to do to my Lesabre T-Type (pic in sig). Did you have to get new exhaust manifolds? where is the turbo going to be in the engine compartment? Are you going to have an intercooler? What all are you going to have to make yourself?

A correct and succesful Turbo install has already been done by Merlin91/97. Do a search to find that one. In fact, the car is for sale right now.

Judging by the interesting posts and odd techniques, I'd bet this one is a 'first timer' attempt. A writeup on this one may serve to be a problem, as he'll probably still be be in the learning phases while he writes it.

Part of my job here is to save our members time and money. Your practices are clearly 'out there' and are not something I'd like to see other members emulate. This is no different than warning our members about a mechanic with a shady reputation. You are obviously able to do whatever you want to. It'* your car. But when it comes to other members, they deserve to be warned. This is exactly what I told the Staff I was afraid of. I recall telling you the same thing.

Being the friendly type of Forum we are, we'd be happy to give you advice if you ask for it. But at the same time, we call it like it is when it comes to another member wanting to do the same thing.

with all due respect, i see no personal jabs above, only your own calling Will a hipocrite.

Will said that based on his observations that this is a first timer application. that seems 1000000% on the money to me.

The facts I back it up with are the pics in this topic as well as your pics of the motor mounts and nylon straps holding your engine in.

My responsibility is to the Forum and the general membership. This isn't a personal jab in any way, shape or form. This is a standard warning to those that may not understand how dangerous your practices on your own car really are. I kept it to myself until a member asked for a writeup. That'* what pushed us into the danger zone.

This is not hypocrisy at all. It'* a simple fact. Members deserve to be warned in the same manner you would want to be warned about a bad local mechanic or a poorly designed part.

I've explained this to you in depth via PM'* and I'm not going into it again. I made it very clear to you that it might come to this.
