What you need now is an electric cutout for those times when you want the open exhaust feel and sound. This way when you are drivin normally, ricers don't think anything of it. Then at the light, you flick the switch and mash the gas.

Randy went into the house and I stole Frank for a minute. Definately cut back on the overall power from the wide open pipe. Still pulls well from a stock SSEi of the same ear motor. Somehow I'm not thinking he need the ability to smoke the tires over 100 feet.

The tires do screech pretty effortlessly from a dead stop but nothing like the burn out vid. BARK... and take off instead of lengthy patches of parallel rubber stains on the road. I'll have to shoot another so they can be compared.
I'm not trying to create a burnout machine but I suppose it'* an easy way to tell that the power is noticably down from open exhaust.

Randy... I have an idea as to why the burnout vid was so spectaclular and now you can't smoke anywhere near as much.
Putting my special powers to good use I have remembered the following:
1. Frank had been in the garage on a floor that had soaked up brake fliud, tranny fluid and oil. While seeming dry the tires may have had some oil imbedded in them. (Great for burnouts)
2. You backed out through the puddles and your tires were still pretty wet. The water trails led to the road. (Water is great for starting a burnout)
3. You had open exhaust versus the exhaust you now have. There is bound to be a back pressure difference that would hold the motor back once the system fills with exhaust. (Open exhaust is great for burnouts)
What do you guys think?
