Well the secret is about up...... clues and hints have been dropped around the BC (and esp. other forums), and now they are leaking into the BC.
Time to come clean...... time to fess up......
THAT would be very interesting.
sorry merlin, you'd get wasted
LN3 vs L67.. hahah !! I own them both so i have definitely felt the difference.
Alien..... I still might lose against a L67..... but I don't think I'm going to get "wasted"....
Time to admit..... I'm about to get BOOST in BOTH my cars.... muahahahaha!!!!
Soon my only choices will be..... SUPERCHARGED or TUBROCHARGED!!!!
............. work began on the 91 on May 9th............. the day after her AutoSlalom event.....
97+ Coil pack installed....

Turbo loosely mounted for fitting....

Pillar Pods...
(Temp, Fuel Pressure, Boost)

Oil pan

Magnaflow Exhaust

Gas Tank

Tranny Cooler

And something that'll make all 87-91 SSE owners cry........
A turbo.... in the engine of a 87-91 SSE, with a hood mat w/ SSE logo above it...

Now before viewing the rest of these.... please know that she'* been in the shop for nearly a month now. (Since the 9th of May)... so she'* very dirty...
You can clearly see the funky hose that was needed for the IC piping.....

Here'* a few views from the top.... can't really see too far down.

She'* getting close now to her first road test....

The front is now put back together..... the hood now closes.....
Had to fab up a new bracket/latch/clip to keep the hood closed... I don't have any pix of that yet.... but I do have some outside shots.

If you look very closely.... you can see the blue tubing for the IC.

Here'* a better shot of the IC tubing..... that'* about the only thing that is visable from the outside.

The blue tubing will be covered or painted black... so it'* not that visable....... then she'll be a real sleeper. You won't know it'* turbo'd until it'* too late.
... she looks really weird w/o her black outs on..... :? Not sure if I like it or not... she'* less aggressive looking...
UPDATE
On last Thursday/Friday she had her first "road test" and ran with boost... only about 2psi.... but just enough to know that it was working. My mechanic is currently working out some issues with the MAF, so hopefully she'll be done later this week or early next.
Got Boost???
I do.
Time to come clean...... time to fess up......

With your scantool and track frequency, I bet we can expect to see some performance increase data?

Besides... that scanner doesn't work on the 91.... the 91'* too old.
But I did plenty of runs last year with the 91 down the 1/4.... so we'll be able to see how much the turbo really helps. I'm hoping for mid 15s.

We'll just both have to run our respected 1/4 miles.
