I wish I did this in November.
now that the snow is melting and I park in a dirt driveway im getting mud on my carpets.
so I had some left over mat material from work.
Its that ribbed matt you wipe your feet on when you walk in a building.
now I wish it was brown instead of black but I still like the look.
i just flipped it over, traced and cut a little longer because the ride up

Great install.
I used to have the same setup in my 93. It had the colum shifter so I took a 6' long piece of ribbed matting and formed it over the hump and tucked it under the seats (made slits as necessary). It really helped. Spring time was like getting a new interior for me! Peeled away the old, and back to the nice original stuff!

That is a great idea there. Cheap, but it does a great job. Oh well, you'll have time yet this winter and spring to realize the full benefit of those mats.
I went to Wal-Mart last winter and bought 3 sets of clear plastic mats to throw down (one in my SSEi, one in my SLE, and one I saved for who knew when -which turned out to be my 1998 SSE). They work great, but they kinda slide around and don't catch all the dirt and water. Can't wait for the snow to melt
