In 1990 Ford and the 7-UP company got together to do 34 special edition vehicles they were going to give away at the end of the NCAA B-Ball tourney. To make a long story short, the vehicles Ford had to sell to the public were released before the contest. 7-UP went ballistic and dropped out of the contest. They kept the 34 cars and had a contest w/ thier own employees. This is info I got from an employee who won one of the vehicles who lived in Texas. I ran the National Registry for these cars for 15 years until I had to relinquish control due to work commitments. The Emerald Green paint was used only on these cars in '90 and the car also had a white dash that was model specific. 4,103 total cars were built w/ 1360 being 5-speeds and 2743 being auto'*.
