.... where they build the kit cars from the ground up except the drivetrains. Had them do some work over the past 5-6 months, part of why I haven't been driving it, but they took it in the shop 1 month ago to fit the parts they had taken measurements for back in July-August. The engine was done up with common mods (and one or two never seen before) we've all seen done to the L67'*, There were some last minute modifications needed on the custom parts, and there are still a few, like the 2-spd Powerglide trans, which is not shifting very smooth. :( Tire alignment though was DEAD ON!
That wasn't the hardest part though.
Anyhow, I don't have much time ATM, but I got a vid earlier during a test spin. It launched a lot better than I thought considering it only has 255/50/16'* on the rear (had to bend the wheel well lip up), but so far I have only went to 75% throttle and noticed 4-5* KR with 72% throttle on 14 psi with the GEN V. :? Got some tuning yet to do on the engine management system they set me up with.
The new suspension they set me up with is not as smooth, but that'* not what I was looking for by converting it to RWD. Also have to change up the rear end gearing a little as it'* gotta wind out for more MPH'*.
We've got our fingers crossed that with some more tuning, a rear end that suits our desires, a set of slicks will net us some sub-10 1/4'* with traps of over 140 MPH.
Kinda a mix of GM Performance'* old Caprice framed/LT1-powered 1992/1993 SSEi a few years back, but we retained the V6 powerhorse.

My oil pressure guage wasn't working on the second or third motor so I figured it must be the guage. Bought a guage on ebay and it arrived.... KMH'*! :? Cool in a way as I can fool unsuspecting passengers, but I see the MPH'* on the HUD. A negative is that when I started the car prior to removal of the original cluster I was seeing something like -10 on the boost guage, but with this installed (10 minutes after checking original guage readings) the boost guage is always reading positive.

EDIT: I had a little problem with traction. I have another video with less traction issues I am uploading.
Um... yeah..... what the hell, Marty? Did you let anyone else know you were doing this? Are you kidding? Did you actually convert a 96-99 H body to RWD?
I never thought we would see it done here on BC. This is outstanding beyond belief!
