Default Outside temp sensor

First issue:
If the outside temp sensor is reading 10-20 degrees warmer than the actual outside temperature, is the sensor bad? I assume they are all in front of the radiator. They only price out at $17.00 at Rock Auto.

:EDIT: BTW I posted this question on the Cadillac Forum last night and nobody answered yet.
I posted pictures here last night and got 12 responses.

this is for your caddy right? This should be in the lounge.

If it was for your SSEi, I'd say I have a sensor for you laying around, give me your address. But since its your caddy, good luck $17 doesnt sound to bad.

Are you sure the sensor is in the correct place and not getting heated by the engine bay?

by the way Steve, all you have to do is ask one of us to move it for you.
