butane is kinda like that. only burns when in open air. kinda burned like that did, but i wasnt stupid enough to whack what i was burning it in like that.

In retrospect regarding my comments...just to keep the moderators happy....perhaps we shouldn't be discussing ways to produce potentially dangerous substances on here?

nitro methane(nitro RC car fuel) burns like that. Put it in a can and only the top will burn but once you knock the can over it all goes up in flames. On and if you soak a tennis ball in nitromethane and then light it and kick it down your driveway it leaves a trail of fire and the tennis ball contines to burn

oh man, that'* sweet. Plus i've got 4 gallons of that stuff sitting in my basement waiting to be used .
