What tool did you buy today?
Point taken.
Does your state hook vehicles up to computers for inspections?
It'* been rumored here in NY that they can tell if the emissions have been disabled. But, like I said, unconfirmed rumors.

They hook up into the OBD2 port, yes. However, I was told directly by a guy who owns an exhaust shop that also does the checks that if you program out the O2 sensors they can't tell.
Their computers are only looking for set codes and then runs the test on the vehicle again. So if the car computer is happy, their computer is happy.
They do look under the vehicle for the cats though, so I'll have to figure out something there. Maybe a pipe though one, I dunno

I bought a Dewalt DW292 electric (corded) 1/2" drive impact driver. I looked at all the battery powered ones and they range from 200 to 240 foot pounds of torque. This one runs at 345 foot pounds of torque with 2,700 impacts per minute. That'* almost up there with the good air powered ones, and since I don't have a compressor it seemed the best option.
Now I just need something to break so I can use it.
