RPM Needle
Was ok for over a year + but....once again has somehow lifted & now trapped below the stop pin.

I tried a powerful neo magnet to lift it up, but moved slightly, not enough.
Removing the cluster is not my idea of having fun, so I am tempted to drill a small hole in plexiglass, where a paper clip could be used to restore it..

Yes, outside of pulling the cluster, drilling a hole is your best bet.....
Have seen this happen when batteries are connected/disconnected, with the key in the "on" position....
Not sure of this, but is you can remove the trim from the cluster, and drill the hole where it would be covered by the trim, then you won't see the hole when the trim is reinstalled...

Well...I drilled the hole thinking it could be easily moved upwards by depressing the far end of the needle.

The paperclip is bending, not giving me enough pressure to get it above post.
Going to find something stronger to make 2nd attempt.
Otherwise may have to drill 2nd hole at needle bottom.
Good thing for silicone hole filler..LOL

Ya
LOL..too lazy to want to take it apart.
Amazing what ya gotta do to get the needle back into position.
I just hope I don't have to drill another hole to lift that darn needle upwards.
But if I do, I going have a few beers first to say I had a good excuse LOL!

Not sure I know what you mean...
What has happened is.. as the car was turned off, needle jumped over pin down and rests in this position when turned off.
When car ign on, it moves in clockwise position stuck below pin.

Needle needs to be moved above pin or clockwise to function again.
