Default driver side wiper not working

Window was full of ice and heavy snow and wipers came on when I started it up. Now drivers side does not go but drivers side does. How do I fix this?

Abbby,

Please take a second look at your post, I think you are saying passenger side works?

Probably stripped it where the arm attaches to the post.

The wiper arm itself is usually made out of tin while the post is usually a soft aluminum which strips easily if too much stress such as a frozen wiper.

Also possible, one of the rods of the wiper transmission popped off.....

Default Wiper follow

Late follow-up but better than never. Driver side quit working and passenger side still working. Turned out the bolt\nut holding the round knurled piece was loose. Took off wiper and tightened gently. Put wiper back on and all is good.

I was going to suggest checking the nut. I've had the driver side loosen up. See it on occasion at the shop I work at. Glad you got it fixed.
