I accidently put the wrong key in the ignition and had to have my ignition replaced. so trying to program the new key and you have to turn it to on and wait for security message to go off only my security message never comes on so the key wont program. any suggestions as to why it wont program?

if i remember right the only way to program it your self is to have the original two keys and then you can add a key. if you didnt get the ign from the dealer and have different keys, you are going to have to take it to get programed.

thanks for replying. we found out the key that came with the ignition is not a pass key 3 so cant be programmed. we ordered a pass key three and they are going to program it tomarrow.

can lay the old key on the ignition and use the new key that come with the ignition and it will start and run but dont want to do that everytime i need to go somewhere.
