Default 2005 BUICK RENDEZVOUS Traction-Off lights on

My 2005 Rendezvous traction off light randomly comes on. The transmission seems not want to shift from 2nd to 3rd gear randomly as well. The car only have $40K miles on it.

1 year ago, I took to repair shop. They repacked clutch because the tech bullet board says that there is a problem for clutch stack stick together. But the problem happened again. Then the tech replaced right front wheel bearing because they believe the wheel bearing is causing the speed differential such that shifting.

Right after the repaired both above items, the problem occurred again. This time the tech asked me to just drive it for a while to see if problems happens again. Since then, I haven't driven much (less than 1000 miles).

Recently the traction off light come on again. I took it back to the shop. The tech said that the code in the computer doesn't tell them anything and completely different from what it was. Since the problem occurs randomly. So the problem doesn't show up when I get the car to the shop. So the shop doesn't want to do any more troubleshoot unless problem exist when the car is there.

Anybody have suggestion on what to do to either fix it or find out what the issue is?

I would consider serving the transmission filter and fluid & use Dexron VI fluid & gasket.
If there is a stored code on the traction control, I would sure like to know what the code # is.
I am not familiar with the TC on that vehicle, I am sure others will chime in however, I am wondering ...Do you have the owners manual for the 05 Rendezvous, under Traction control does the light normally or temporarily come on to indicate it is active and currently in use? Or is it only indicating a fault?

Did the ABS light ever come on?

I certainly hope this wasn't a GM shop that was doing this work....sounds like a shop that is guessing and not diagnosing....

Your repair paperwork should list all the codes set(traction off will set codes).....if it doesn't, that'* another indicator of the work of this shop....
