Well found out that i have very little coolant in the radiator if any, would I be alright if i drove it home? average speed home most of the way is 65 will it air cool itself and be okay?

With very little coolant in the radiator, I would want to get some coolant in it right away. The problem with low coolant in the radiator is that the coolant will not pass through the radiator correctly and will not allow for proper cooling. also, your coolant temp sensor might not be in the coolant, rather in an air bubble and give an inaccurate reading, saying that the engine is cool enough, when in reality, it is overheating.

I would definately try to get some coolant in there right away, at least some distilled water for now for the drive home, then make sure to add the proper coolant at the correct ratio ASAP.

yes thanks. Tommorow is the last day that I will be driving it for a while so I will put some distill water in it.

make sure that you add coolant though ASAP. I see that you live in Arizona... you will need coolant for sure down there, water alone will not transfer heat all that well compared to the coolant, plus the coolant rises the boiling point of the water.

you may need to drain some water to add the proper amount of coolant, so go and buy a little coolant tester from your local auto parts store. ( usually around $10 ) test your coolant and add more as needed.

Remember that adding straight water is merely a band-aid to get you home, and you don't really want to be using that alone for any long period of time.

one last thing. do you have any idea where the old coolant went to? might want to dig into that and find out where it went.

Just throw distilled water in it for now. It may actually run cooler than with Anit-freeze/coolant in it. Water by itself is quite a good transfer meduim. The lubricants in the anti-freeze are important, though, but a few days on just water should be fine.

Thats what I did (distilled)I had more coolant in it then I thought too so that is good. Actually I drive it to and from work everyday only about 60 miles all together this morning it was pretty cool out about 64 temp gauge was at about 180. On the plus side I guess I am just constantly flushing out my system =) today is the last day I will be driving it though (fingers Crossed) we need to buy a reliable vehicle and a toy for the dunes (rubicon hopefully)
