Default EGR valve location

I have a 1992 Oldsmobile regency 98 3.8l v6 non turbo, and I am trying to replace the egr valve. The kick in the pants is, I can not locate it on this car. This is my parents car so I'm not 100% familiar with the diagrams from Google are not helping, any ideas where it located?

Not sure, but I believe it is behind the valve cover and to the right of the fuel injectors, should look like this.

Find the transmission dipstick/filler tube. Immediately forward (towards the front bumper) of that is an electric-motor looking thing about 2-3 inches in radius with an electrical connector on top. That'* your EGR valve. Next thing forward of this should be the plastic beauty/sound cover.

Careful with the gaskets. Get the old one all the way off before you put the new one on.

92, with the aluminum UIM, had no EGR valve.

Sorry was thinking Series 2. For series 1 plastic UIM it is same as series 2 except on front side as in the pic. Agree on aluminum UIM, I can't seem to find one.
