Default 1998 SC2 Window Won't go up

I can't remember if I posted this problem before, this has been happening for a while now..... I have replaced the window regulator twice now and I still have this problem..... the driver window will not go back up all the way. The window slows in it'* travel about 3/4 way up and stops leaving a gap. I have used every lubricant known to man (WD40, Lith Grease, Bearing Grease in the window tracks, and even garage door lube and more) and it'll work fine for a few days when I lubricate the tracks, but then after a few days, it'* back to the original problem and will not go up all the way..... What gives? Don't tell me to try a different lub in the tracks because I've done them all, even some I did not list)...... what is the issue? I have even taken out the regulator and looked at that as an issue (I've tried another regulator... "just to see" and the same results) I have dealt with the window tracks on multiple occasions and can't seem to find the issue.

No body damage to this door assembly?

Have you replaced the slides in the slider track that the regulator engages with (the track that bolts to the bottom of the glass) ?

How many miles on this vehicle?

How many miles have you owned this vehicle?

Have you tried sliding the glass up by hand? Any extra resistance as you get more and more closed?

The Saturn has 301k on it and I"ve had it since it had 139k ,,,, The window has not resistance and it'* the way I get it up now I press the up button and push the glass up... When I spay lube on the track it works for a few days.

That'* cool! I'm glad to see someone is keeping the trend of high-odometer Saturns alive! Back in the day, I knew many Saturn owners, mostly in the *-series, that had hundreds of thousands of miles on them.

I should have asked this one more clearly: Have you tried sliding the glass up by hand without the regulator attached? Any extra resistance as you get more and more closed?

One of two things here. The motor is getting weak or the track needs to be opened up more. Probably the track.

I have replaced the motor twice now in just a little while, and it was still doing it....... I inspected the track and found no problems, but I have not replaced it.... I ran out of time over the weekend and just sprayed it again with Lith Grease and put it back together.... I'll look at the tracks again when I have the time.....

Those tracks should not be tight at all all the way up.
The window should slide down on it'* own when not regulated.
