window regulator question
i apoligize in advance, but my window is down and i need to get this straightened out as quick as possible.
window is stuck in down poition, when i click the button to put the window up, i can hear a soft 'click' in the door, sometimes the windows will go up about 1/2 inch and stop again...
im about 99% sure its the regulator/motor but i want to kmake sure before i blow $320.
once again, i apoligize for not having time to read through posts.
all help GREATLY appreciated!

soundsn lke the regulator to me. try putting the window up manually by hand. If the regulator is good you should not be able to pull the window up. if the regulator is bad you'll be able to easily pull it up when you have one hand on each side of the glass and you pull up...

This gives a good summary of the problem and if you look towards the end of the posts, there is a good alternate source to Mr. Goodwrench.

rear window
this happened to me about three weeks ago nd i took the door panel off and found out tht the regulater and the motor were fine but the wire that pulls the window up and down had started to fray and the wire wouldn't go through the pulley system.

in the track under the door panel , been that way for 2 years now , back windows stay up and water tight.

The clamp I used was the bigger 2" size paper clamp you find in most offices. :P I did this almost a year ago, and it'* still holding.
