Default Stuck Antenna

The aerial on my 1992 Pontiac Firebird was sticking, so wiped with WD40 and switched it on and off a few times - pushing and pulling at the same time. Then is stuck completely and have had to remove the fuse as the motor was still trying to move it. The motor is still working okay.

Can it be repaired and if so how or will it need replacing?

Thanks

Check to see if it'* bent. Even a little bend will cause it to bind up.

Your best bet is probably to find one on sale (Ebay, Radio shack, etc.) or hit the junkyard and just replace it. It'* pretty common for these motorized antennas to go out and hard to get them working correctly again.

Also, make sure you have them down when going through the car wash or anything else that could bend/tweak it.
