my 2006 pontiac montana lift gate wont open. is there a way to open from inside? will back panel come off with door closed? any tips on repair will be appreciated. the last few years I have kept it well lubed. I think theres to much stretch in the cable.

From what I can see you should be able to remove the panel from inside. First, remove the two screws holding the pull handle, then the panel should pull straight back off the clips. Work your way around the window first. There will be a sheet of plastic you have to remove once you get the panel off.
