Exclamation No power to ignition switch

Hello,
I have. a 2008 Pontiac GXP and I recently replaced the ignition switch because my car wasn't starting even with a brand new starter and starter relay. We tried starting the car but now there'* no power running to the ignition switch and with the old starter we could ground out the purple wire that goes to the starter and it would start, but I didn't want to have to Hotwire my car to drive it lol. When we took the ignition switch out the passkey 3 module had gotten damaged so I replaced that part as well. Now there'* no power running to the purple wire and I don't know what to do. All my fuses are fine (none blown), Ive tried the procedure to relearn my key and that didn't work...do I have to reprogram the new Passkey? and if so how do I do that because its looking like I'll have to take it back to the dealership or have a locksmith come and do it which is going to be expensive...

Yeah, if you replace the Passkey module you'll have to get it programmed.

What got damaged on the old one?
