Default Common issues 07 Grand Prix GXP v8

2007 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP. I wish to learn about the car and understand its strong and weak points . It'* had the transmission rebuilt at 74,000 and my first thoughts are what made it fail.. I will need to understand the common issues this car may have....and avoid them. Is there a listing of troubles and stickys with info about certain topics ? Thanks

Default No North Star

It is not a North Star... I can't seem to find what engine it is beside a 5.3 v8 with active fuel management

You have already run in to the one problem that I am aware of with that car. The 300+ HP v8 running power through a 4t65. They are notorious for short transmission life spans from what I understand, and also with it comes other inhearant behaviors with a torquey v8 firing power at the front wheels.
