Default car starts but immediately dies

I have a 02 grand prix supercharged 112k on engine .I know its been leaking coolant from the lower intake manifold gasket . The car will start then immediately die can the bad lim gasket cause this to happen ? There isnt any coolant in the oil or no oil in the coolant.

If the engine is leaking coolant out of the engine via the lower gasket, then their is a good chance the engine is also sucking coolant into the combustion chambers causing it to stall. I highly suggest you don't continue doing this until you can verify what exactly is going on.

Yes, the symptoms you are experiencing are likely directly related to the leaking LIM.

Yep, had same problems with mine. leaking coolant isnt a good thing to ignore regardless of any other issues. overheats, warped heads, siezures, ect.. fixit while it is a cheap fix.

On another note the security might cause a similar problem. Vats pass key , if it doesnt ready the ignition key resistance right will shut the engine down upon startup. had the wires to mine break at the ignition switch and did that. just something to think about if ya cant figure out anything else.
