Well, maybe not an overhaul, but you may be coming due for lower intake manifold gaskets at some point eventually. That would be the best time to do any kind of porting.

And it'* really just cleaning up any casting imperfections, and possibly making a bit more room where you can get away with it.

The SSEi'* use the same computer during that same year, but the memcal has different software in it. If a computer is attached to an L36 or L67 regardless of chassis, its the same computer(unless you change years) If you are thinking about a 96 PCM, you are opening up a whole new realm because you are going from OBD 1.0 to OBD 2.0. IMO, I highly suggest not doing this.

On another note, it would be suggested that you start another thread for your 56 QDM-2 issue. Its to prevent confusion.

I'm definitely with Mike, These cars are solid like they are and really bang for the buck there'* much better places to spend money on these cars before even thinking of a full PCM conversion. If I we're gonna go that route then I most certainly wouldn't use the SSEI. You have to run wires anyway so I'd find a late 90s Cadillac North Star V8 and squeeze that sucker in there somehow 😁 I bet it'll fit!

Great looking car BTW, I always love the metal flank emerald green.
