Default 3800SC Swap Pontiac Grand Am

I'm looking into swapping a 3800SC Series 3 on my 2001 Pontiac Grand Am GT. I'd like to know how complicated it would be? Would it be possible? What transmission would be most recommended (I want to change to manual) maybe a T56?

Just like in this thread over here?: https://www.gmforum.com/pontiac-168/...9/#post1651139

It would be rather complicated.

It would probably have some trouble fitting because it is a 90-degree engine, taller than a 3.4, longer, and has an extra layer of belt and pulleys.

You'll have to swap the PCM and/or program the current one. How are you going to make the gauges work?

You'll likely have to modify the subframe, engine bay, and hood to make it fit.

Many other things I haven't brought up.

The most complicated part will be how to come up with thousands of dollars to put into this project.

Anything is possible . . . with enough time, money, and perseverance.

Freshly overhauled 4T65E set up for an L32 .

More complication: Now you need to add a bunch of other stuff, not to mention everything needed to have a clutch pedal . . . in a car that just about never had a manual transmission.

A T56 is a rear-drive transmission, so it would end up like this while mounted to a transverse engine:
