Default 1995 Bonneville supercharger

I am looking for instructions to remove supercharger on 1995 Bonneville Series 1 engine and also can I remove supercharger belt and run engine to make sure the knocking is coming from the supercharger.
Also looking for a reliable source to purchase a replacement supercharger.
Thanks Fred

Fred,

I'm a series 2 guy but I believe this all applies still. You can remove the supercharger belt and still run the engine with no problem, although I wouldn't suggest driving around like that (although I did make a 200 mile trip like that once).

You should check for play in the coupler by turning the supercharger pulley forward and backward.

The correct answer is that on Series 1, which you have, the supercharger belt also drives the water pump. So the short answer is no.

Thanks for that clarification Randall, not much Series 1 experience here. You can check for play in the coupler still as that does not require running the engine and is done by hand.
