Hey everyone i have 2 issues im looking for help or hints on troubleshooting. I feel they could be related but possibly not. The drivers side power window and locks work but none of the other 3 windows or locks work. It doesnt seem to be a fuse logically since the drivers side is working unless anyone knows of that being on a seperate fuse from the other three. Anyways if anyone has had this issue or any ideas where to start its greatly appreciated

First thing I would check is the window lockout switch on the on your Driver'* window switch panel....if the Lock button is activated, the other three windows will not work from their respective door switches......so press the lock button, and then see if those windows work....if they don't this is going to take some in depth analysis because this is a fairly complicated system, that having a Tech II scanner, makes diagnosing so much easier...

A scanner would be nice forsure i dont see how it would help this situation but ive been meaning to get one. Ive tried activating and deactivating the lock button and trying the windows from the respective windows and driver controls already
and no success. My best guess is maybe the lock button is somehow activated by a short or connection and isnt turning off that makes the most sense to me

If the other windows work at its own control, then its a data bus issue between the drivers door and the other doors.

Just curious, would a 2002 also be susceptible to the corroding ground bus issue?

No, they are a different from the 92-99'*. New body, new systems, new harnesses.

On another note, the 2000+* had electrical/wetness issues under the rear seat.

Well, for one thing, you can't afford a Tech II scanner....

Also, some body codes or communication codes could be set, which only a high end scan tool can read.....

A set of schematics would help to see if there is a common ground, power source for the other doors.......and if the lockout switch is bad, that is another possibility......

Did this happen all at once?

A Tech II scan tool would show if the modules are receiving commands from the different switches and door modules, making diagnosis easier....

Wait a sec:

. . . so as stated this is one driver'* side window and both locks . . .

. . . so one of the driver'* side windows and locks doesn't work . . .

. . . now I'm thinking "driver'* door" as opposed to "driver'* side" which could be front or back door on the driver'* side of the vehicle.

Does this sound correct? I don't mean to be a nitpicky, just want to make sure we're all climbing the right tree.

To clarify the power locks and the power window control works for the drivers side door only. The individual 1 door and none of the other three have power locks or window working. Button commands from the respective non working door dont work and button commands from the drivers side door dont cause anything to happen either
