Cruel, I know, but true. It'* the most economical way to go faster in a Bonne. Unless you want to build N/A because you like it, like 95naSTA.

$10G is economical right?
and maybe another $10g on making it manual and RWD.. but hell you'd kick the *** of (or at least give a hell of a run for) anything that moves.
P.*. Technically you would STILL be natually aspirated... thought in reality anything with 6 liters is hardly natural.

I don't consider spending $20G + on a Bonneville (at least an older one, like his 95, or even my 94) economical at all. Honestly, out of all the options to make his N/A Bonne faster, the most economical is to sell it and get an SSEi.
But like I said, nothing wrong with N/A. Just have to recognise its limiting factor in this situation)

Turbo is going to net you the best HP-ET-$$ ratio. Only problems with a turbo is that it is a big investment to make at once and the new found HP usually destroys the trans. which makes another big investment that you have to pay for. What kinda makes a turbo unique is that you have boost at your fingertips. So it can be very friendly on a trans. as long as the owner driving doesn't get greedy with the new found HP.
Just found this video on clubgp. This is a Buick Regal LS NA, with the turbo kit. I think this is what you're looking for.

Notice the tranny does slip pretty bad into third.
