Default Does an intake break your car?

Hi

My friend says an intake breaks your car.

He says a factory air box is there for a reason. So it wont break your car.

I know they answer but can you just answer anyway. I wanna print this out so I can show my friend that an intake does not break your car.

Oh yeah so why does the factory use an air box and not an intake. Thanks folks

The airbox is a sound baffle. Most car-buyers don't want to hear their noise.

Your friend is probably the stupidest human being on this planet. He probably also thinks stickers add horsepower.

"break"? As in, explode into a ball of fire? Or just....wow, I can't finish this one...
It makes my head hurt.....

he just probably think that the filter is sucking more dust /water than the original.

No matter, if you have a good setup theres no problem there, just be sure you have a good filter and everything is sealed.
