i know this doesnt have anything to do with h-bodys but is the ecotec 2.2 faster than the twin cam 2.4? are they faster than most bonnys

The new Ecotec is actually an older Quad 4 that has been reworked MANY times. Back in 90 the 2.3 Quad 4 HO pushed 180hp in the Beretta'*. Over the years it was "improved" but detuned as well. The new Ecotec is basically a detuned Quad making 140hp...but with some simple cam swapping and what not, you can have them up over 200hp easy. I've said it before and I'll stand by it, I like the Ecotec engine.

Stock for stock, I highly doubt a stock Ecotec could take your L27, but then again they make one crazy 5 speed in the Cavi'*.

Stock, five speeds can get a little jump on us, but not in the full 1/4. The cavi'* though can be upgraded like crazy. I believe that there are some 6 second cavi'* in my area made by Lindenbrock I believe. Using the ecotec engine.

6 seconds!?!? That'* faster then pro-streets..
