UIM Porting

I've heard a lot of good things about putting on a S3 UIM, some throttle body with an adapter plate, an HV3, and a much-needed tune. But I'd honestly prefer battery cables first. (Shocking, I know!)

Zeta, man, that'* too true. I love having good battery cables. I fought some poor ones a few years ago, and it just wasn't fun. Are you just looking to replace yours with stock ones?
Night, I think I see what you're talking about. Do you mean that casting which supports the stock insert but just looks funny with the HV3? You're saying you want to sand down the little ruts in the metal? If so, I'm with you on that.

Yeah I'm taking about removing the running supports or would it help a bit to keep them in there. Mike said he did it to his mylon intake and didn't notice too much of a change.

Yep, didn't notice anything different. I'm thinking that it'* because there isn't much airflow directly against those fins. You have to remember the purpose of the UIM is to be a reservoir. By pressure differential and inlet taper, the air gets pushed into that. Then it is used.

Yeah. I've had new ends put on my cables at least four times and I'm still having odd problems crop up. Several people have recommended I replace them because they look scary, so hey, a solid investment. But that'* neither here nor there.

Your car is going to be significantly more heavy with a Fiero in it.
I think you're doing the right thing going full-on with NA first. What you should really do is CSC, though. That'* where the good stuff is. Turbos are nice, but they're not fun for everyday street driving unless you go with a small one that limits you to less than 600 horsepower. Just saying.
