I will be there through most of the process (hey it is my camera!). He was set back a bit because the car he was going to be using while the Riviera is in pieces was delayed and hasn't recieved all the gasketts. Oldsman needs to have a daily driver because of work and other things.

Shots of the SC casing before porting. The I still haven't gotten all carbon out of it using 2 cans of carb cleaner and a bottle of castrol super clean.

There was a imperfection on the inlet like Harofreaks M90 but mine isn't as severe.that will get smoothed out soon.

The throttle body came out well. I am very pleased with it. I still have the 96 throttle body if the PCM doesn't like the polished 99 TB.

I took some pictures of the SC and the LIM because I want to add a drain to the SC and I thought these would help others as well to plan the drain.

This is where I am thinking to add the drain.

I am getting a wbody store ported LIM so that I have the option of a intercooler in the future I will add more tommarow and during the next week.

Engage.

The castrol superclean could not cut through the carbon on the inlet :? . I am not cleaning the rotors do to fear of damaging the coating. Plus the carbon adds a little effiency to it. As for polishing I am not even up to that yet just smoothing out the roughness first. Now I an rounding of some of the sharp edges. then I will polish. Up to this point I have used sanding drums, 80 girt sand flapper, and 60 and 320 grit sand paper.

You might want to go over the 60 scratches with 120 and 220 grit sand paper cause you'll be sanding the 60 gouges with 320 for forever.

Update:

Finally got the LIM back from Wbody store. I started to put everything back together but I cant get the damn LIM gaskets to stay in there place. Any suggestions would be appriecated, I am going to reattempt it tommarrow. Pics will be up tomarrow also.

Thanks in advance

Enrique

I know they sell a gasket adhesive spray depending on what the gasket is made out of. Or maybe some system of dowels or pins of some sort that could be used to line things up but long enough to be pulled out the other side after a few bolts are in place? Just some ideas don't know if they'll work.

See bold above. I've personally never had an issue, but S1 gaskets may be easier to keep in place.
