Well I finally completed buttoning everything up and all is back to normal under the hood.
I did swap in the 3.2 pulley.

I fired it up in the garage for a 15 minute warm-up to make sure everything is running like a top.
Success. Normal warm up rpms and no codes.

It'* raining out now....wouldn't you know it....dry roads all week and now when I'm done, it rains. Oh well, I can wait and dinner is smelling mighty fine. Bacon wrapped prawn shrimp.

One thing that is noticeable is a little more valvetrain noise now. Light clicking sounds. I know it wasn't that loud before the swap. I can only hear it with the hood open within a foot or two of the valvetrain. :?

Turns out the clicking noise is just the the valves hitting a little harder due to the increased lift.

The roads finally dried up after the sun came out today so I went for a 1/2 hour run. I had a good load in the car with the whole family, so I can't wait to take it out alone.

WOW.
That has got to be a 25 hp gain and the torque pull is up noticeably too.
Very big grin.
My son noticed the difference too. Really makes the car jump and torque steer to the left slightly when you nail it now.
I really need that limited slip diff soooon.

It was a test run, so I expected to get the 12 mpg that I averaged.

.....and the PCM hasn't learned yet, so I'm expecting a little improvement with time.

I am running the 3.2 pulley and my boost is maxing right at 70 kpa or 10 psi.
I even noticed that it shifts at 6000 rpm now instead of 5900 before the rockers.

You should get a video of a few runs. I'm interested in seeing how fast it goes.

It'* probaby as fast as your GTP is now.
Using Taylor'* car as an example....similar power mods....he runs the 1/4 in 13.7, but I don't have a lead lined magnetic thumping butt like he does.

Videos won't do it justice......besides I don't have a host.

If you really want to find out, come to this summers West Coast Bonne Meet....or install some of your own.

Yes it feels as quick as my 6.6 L Bird now.....but I still prefer rear wheel drive.

I have only seen top end power in 1st gear so far. It gets there in the blink of an eye now. Can hardly wait to get it on a good highway for some 2nd gear top end.

BTW, city driving and a heavy foot netted me the 12 mpg.

I'm glad you finally had everthing installed! It sounds like you are enjoying it as much as me.

On a down note, i am not so glad that your fuel mileage went down also. It would be nice if we could get more power with the same MPG!

Was it fun and/or satisfying that you did the job yourself? i am kind of glad i had INTENSE do my install witlh all of the little hassles you had.

Fuel makes power. If you use the power....you will use the fuel.

Doing these jobs myself is my rush.....my passion....my reason for living.

....and besides, I only trust my own work.

Wasn't really a hassle at all. I really like this forum and sharing my hobby with all of you.
If I knew everything about working on this car, it wouldn't be a challenge....it wouldn't be fun. It might even be boring.

I live for challenges. :P

On the road and in everything I do.

I am an Engineer

The higher ratio will help your MPG, I noticed that my RPM'* dropped to 1900@65mph. But I enjoy watching the Tach shoot up to 6K too much.
