Dan, does Michigan just only test for pending codes/active codes? Or do they also test for the readiness monitors? NY does both.

It depends on the code and if the engine light is on. If the engine light is on it automatically fails. I have seen some codes that didnt make the vehicle fail.

Only emission codes should cause a fail. As far as I know, only codes are checked in Wisconsin.
