I just got done dealing with this one custom metal tubing company that was making a 3" DP for a buddies SRT-4. This got me thinking... How many people would be intrested in a custom bent FWI?
It would be made out of thin wall stainless steal, bents would be kept to a minimal (2 x 45* bends), and the filter would go where the EVAP can is. The EVAP system would be relocated to inside the engine bay. I'd have two types of FWI - 3" and 4" ID'*.
The 3" going down the line: 3.25"-3" reducer coming off the throttle body, a 3" 45* bent pipe, a 3" straight flexiable coupler (allowing for engine flex), and then another 3" 45* bent pipe entering the EVAP hole. The 3" setup would still be able to use that oval K&N filter that most people use on here.
The 4" going down the line: 3.25"-4" reducer coming off the throttle body, a 4" 45* bent pipe, a 4" straight flexiable coupler (allowing for engine flex), and then another 4" 45* bent pipe entering the EXAP hole. The 4" would be setup to use a 7"-9" cone filter.
